Patient Zero is void of horror. It struggles to build tension thanks to a predictable plot and lackluster villains, which is as shame considering how the infected were built up to be this menacing force.

In all, I have definitely seen worse movies. Melodrama and over abundance of unnecessary intensity aside, the movie was intense and the twist in the end was not bad. Speaking of, that ending pissed me off.

This quasi-zombie action movie eventually wanders cluelessly off track, but, as it consists mainly of yelling, sudden loud noises, and camera-shaking, it gets aggravating long before that happens.

Tina K Ooooohhhh. I was pleasantly surprised by this zombie film. I liked it a lot (except I thought the very end was frustrating). It has fresh approaches, clever dialogue, good pacing, it's dramatic, at times emotional and funny. I'm surprised by the really bad reviews. It's not the best zombie genre film ever made, but it's definitely one of the better zombie films I've seen (and I've seen A LOT). If you're looking for mainly gore and uber violence, then this is probably not going to work for you. I would watch it again. The infected makeup looked really good, I loved the chemistry between characters, Definitely has action and a good story.
